UDMP is back in the game and Initial ping plotter results look good, we shall see. I decided to buy my own modem (Motorola MB86111) to eliminate that variable as getting a non Puma chipset from Spectrum seems hit-or-miss and this constant interruption is causing significant issues with WFH. I need to look at multiple targets, but to have multiple Ping Plotter instances you need Ping Plotter Pro at 200. Any advice before I try to return this? I might buy a new modem in hopes that the UDMP suddenly works but now I'm just throwing away $$ and might be better to just get new hardware for my Sophos setup and call this a bust.ĮDIT: Well 36 hours after swapping in my Sophos setup and removing the UDMP Teams/Zoom/Skype audio/video issues are back once again and so is packet loss. Video conferencing appears stable.Ĭlearly the UDMP is an issue or it's conflicting with the Puma 6 modem. Investigate and my modem is one that has this Puma 6 chipset so I'm thinking I need to buy my own modem to deal with this, but for giggles I toss my old Sophos setup back into the mix, run pingplotter. No ISSUES!įinally play around with pingplotter, and I find it detecting packet loss after the 1st hop. My wife's laptop connected directly to the modem. I wiped the UDMP, reinstalled firmware in recovery mode. Network guys using this and it helps to resolve connectivity issues for me. I have my service desk, systems admins, and Jr. No change.I re-ran some CAT6A cable to my wife's PC, replaced patch cables. Free Tracert/Packet Loss/Latency Tool (Ping Plotter) Another free tool for you all to enjoy. My my ISP come out, they check everything, re-terminated and replaced some cables. Saw some posts about similar and tried smart queues, turning off any and every feature all to no luck. While setup and config went very smoothly, my wife and I immediately had issues using Teams/Zoom/Skype (hard wired to USW-24-G2). I've been slowly moving to Ubiquity and replacing my 13 year old desktop PC running Sophos home (had a significant downtime event) was the next step along with a camera or two. About the same time I noticed the UDMP was actually in stock so I pulled the trigger. Recently upgraded my internet service (spectrum) from 100/10 to 400/20 (new modem).
